Izar:
Izar is a medium-sized star in the latter half of its life cycle. There are seven planets around it: One close to it that is roasted barren and rocky, one in the human habitable zone, three that are gas giants, and two that are cold ice rocks beyond. There are also two asteroid belts which circle the star, one in the habitable zone which may have been a planet once that broke apart either after forming or before it ever completed. The planet in the habitable zone is a bit mysterious in its own barrenness.
For all intents and purposes, Callas should be a thriving world with a multitude of environments. There is evidence of oceans and riverbeds, but everything is covered over in desert. Planetologists believe this world was once a great candidate for settlements, but today it would take more teraforming than would be profitable.
