There is a certain beauty to the building which is covered in vines which have grown up over the walls, crawled in through the windows, and swallowed the building whole.  The moisture of the plants squish below his feet, and slimy juices soak his legs.

Inside, the floors of the various levels have rotted away, giving him a view up the building until it dissipates in the fog from whence random vines peak out.  The walls are covered in colorful flowers and intertwined thickets.  Below him, the floors have disappeared under a maze of overlapping roots.

In the center of the room, Lancaster can see where it all began.  A row of plant life that was kept under controlled conditions.  Apparently the plant got loose over the centuries and devoured the building that imprisoned it.  How ironic.

As Lancaster begins to leave, he feels the floor shift, and the vines above begin to sway.  Perhaps a heavy wind is coming through, Lancaster thinks.  Then his foot gets caught between a couple roots.  He tugs, but cannot get it loose.  He undoes the straps to the boot to take it off, and as he does, he sees the walls begin to move.  The vines are shifting, like snakes crawling through one another.  Up above, the dangling greenery lowers toward him like tendrils.

Urgently, Lancaster gets his foot free of his boot and begins to run, but the roots pull together and snag his other foot.  He takes his other boot off, but this time it doesn't help.  He's trapped!

The tendrils reach around him.  He swings at them and they back away a moment.  He pulls out his Electro-Shocker and zaps a couple of the arms in quick succession, and they yank back up into the fog.

But a series of more vines grab him from behind, and yet more which were hidden below the roots climb up his body and squeeze his arm until he drops the device.

To Lancaster's relief, the roots part, freeing his foot, but the rest of his body is a prisoner, and he is sucked down into the bowels of the plant, devoured, just like the building.
