Lancaster makes his way to the edge of town and finds a spot that is not so smothered in fog. There he calls Little Jack, who flies in and picks him up, much to the protestations of the local animals.
Lancaster heads back to the archeologist's camp and walks in. He smiles privately at the judgmental stares he gets as he walks into the administration building wearing his adventuring gear and still smelling of the site. They're going to want his information.
Lancaster tells Dr. Makoto about the building he found and the carvings and drawings within. He also tells him about the pulpit, and the cut at the top where he believes a relic once sat.
Dr. Makoto looks at him amazed. "You must be mistaken," he says. "We would see anyone going in or out of that island."
"You didn't even know it was there," Lancaster says. "How could you know if anyone got in."
Dr. Makoto simply shakes his head and asks what else Lancaster found. Lancaster recounts what he has seen, but the rest they will have to see for themselves. He tells them where they can safely land, and how to navigate their way into the center of town without being harassed. "But," he tells him, "don't let anyone get separated. There are creatures there that have made it their home, and no one will want to meet them alone in the fog."
Dr. Makoto thanks Lancaster and pays him what he owes him. Lancaster is grateful, but he's anxious to get going. The relics drawn and carved on the walls of that temple are out there somewhere, and when found, will prove that the Zeborno were a star faring race, and may just unlock some of their greatest secrets. With any luck, he might find Zeborno beings themselves.
