Lancaster makes his way back into the building, going in again through the roof. He finds all of the computer equipment smashed. His fault, he knows, but perhaps the archeological team will be able to piece it together to find what they need.
As for Lancaster, the telescope is still intact. He steps up to it and peers through. There is a machine inside it which keeps it moving, following the same star no matter where it is in the sky. It is the star known to humans as Erodan.
This is where Lancaster will begin his search, to see if the Zeborno were truly a star faring race.
