Lancaster pulls out his hand communicator. The bird lurches at him, and Lancaster rolls out of the way. He takes off running, calling to Little Jack. "Need a pickup."
"Already?" Jack asks.
"Bird!" Lancaster blurts, dodging another blow as the bird chases him. He drops the com this time, but he doesn't have time to get it. He has to keep moving or he's bird feed.
As Lancaster runs, Little Jack swoops in from the clouds. At first he aims toward the com, but he quickly adjusts and chases after Lancaster.
The bird, right behind him, is about to hop up and swoop in for a killing blow when Little Jack flies his ship, Odin's Revenge, right into the back of the bird's head.
Flying over Lancaster, the latch opens. Lancaster jumps on, his hat flying off behind him, and he climbs inside.
The bird squawks' from behind him, taking chase for a few more flaps, but once Little Jack has the ship in full gear, it's left far behind.
When Lancaster stumbles up to the front, Little Jack looks at him annoyed. "So, you got beaten by a bird," he says.
