Lancaster hunkers down and waits for the proverbial cavalry to arrive.
The pirates load up the last of the loot. The ship's humming reaches a high pitch, and the thrusters engage. The last ones guarding the area rush in the hatch, and all the openings seal up.
Lancaster stands to watch the vessel lift up into the air, then disappear into the cloud cover. It is a full few minutes later before the security personnel arrives and Lancaster has to tell them they're too late.
