Mintaka:
Mintaka could almost be considered a binary star. Its nearest planet is a gas giant which radiates almost as much heat as a red dwarf. It has five moons around it which are scorched by their two nearby heat sources. Further out are six more planets, all far from the center. The nearest is barren with no moons. The second is the corporate planet Giese. Beyond that is one gas giant with wide rings, then three ice planets beyond.
Giese:
Giese was settled by the Gateway Corporation, which still controls the planet. A thin ring around the planet makes it ripe for mineral harvesting without much effort. Some companies within the Gateway fold even have buildings on the asteroids. The planet itself has a multitude of environments which are primarily being built over by the corporation's cities.
