Shasa and her brother Otto inherited their parents' ship, the Revenge, after they died. The only problem was that neither was declared the captain, and so they flipped a coin. Shasa never told her brother that the coin was fixed for her to win. Despite the fact that she's in command, Otto still argues with her over her decisions.
