Lancaster puts one hand at the top of the door and swings inside.  He lands on the damp, rocky floor.  Water is almost immediately washing up over his feet.  He steps into the carved out corridor and walks up a few stairs which lead to a corridor that opens up into a few rooms.  It's all quite overwhelming to Lancaster, and he begins walking through the rooms.

There is no furniture, no artifacts, nothing that is loose that could last, and he sees why right away.  Barnacles and other sea life cling to the damp walls, perhaps dead, perhaps in hibernation.

Against a far wall are a few chests.  They look like they might have something of value in them, so they could be locked, or trapped, or they could be easily opened.

Lancaster decides to come back to those.  Perhaps there will be a clue to them in another room.  He heads up another flight of stairs to another group of rooms.  They are very similar to the first, but there doesn't appear to be anything valuable in them.  They're fascinating to Lancaster in that the architecture is very much Zeborno, though that race didn't typically build out of rock.

Lancaster begins to walk down the stairs back to the room with the chests to check them out, but just as he does, he's stopped.  The tide has come in, and in the few minutes he has been searching around, it has risen into the rooms he was just in.  He will have to swim into them if he wants to go back into them.  (Use this information to help you in Relic Worlds, Book 3 - The Cosmic Orb.)
