Lancaster swings one leg over the edge of the nest, then the other. He slides down the moss into the center and walks silently over to the closest egg. It swirls with shades of emerald and blue. This should bring a great price from other archeologists and museums.
Very suddenly, a large head pops up from the opposite end of the nest. It's the face of a very big, and very angry bird. It has short, colorful hair, but no feathers, a long, leathery wing span, and a sharp beak. That's about all Lancaster gets with his first glance. He has to fight or take flight pretty much right away.
What should Lancaster do?
